HIDING IN PLAIN SIGHT
Do you ever feel like you’re being watched? Hiding in plain sight is an exploration of surveillance culture, using physical comedy and object manipulation. Join this performer as he tackles the impossible task of juggling our virtual identities and our authentic self.
This show is a development of a year-long film project exploring public space, privacy and circus in the virtual landscape. I developed this into a short film Tough Crowd which was selected to be part of the circus international film festival. He has now taken these themes and looked at how they can exist in a live performance setting, using clown, juggling and dadaism with support from Richard Headon of Desperate Men and Bim Mason.

“Completely hilarious, utterly ridiculous, weird and wonderful. Dark circus comedy at its best!”

            Double bill?
This show has been developed alongside another as a double bill offering, Tongue & Cheek. Myself and Ruby Burgess have developed and produced this and are currently looking for funding to develop the work further and be able to tour the work in uk theatres. Both shows exist as separate products so can be booked on their own or together. Both new and experimental circus that live in similar worlds but offer different perspectives.
The show has played at Circomedia (Bristol as part of Circus City 2023), Jacksons Lane (2024) and Brighton Fringe (Circus Yard 2025).
